Two more finishes

Just finished a pillow, made of the leftovers from a lap quilt (still in progress...)


and a pair of pot-holders - with a cute chicken designed by Wenche Wolff Hatling

First apple picked

Marit just "HAD TO" test the first apple today. Doesn't it look good?

And I finished the last Angle-block yesterday - and has started to put it together today. I FQ is "almost" enough for the borders. ( I managed to get enough by joining three of the strips with one end of the edge-cutoff)

Early Sunday morning

I woke up rather early this morning - so I went down to my sewingroom and had a couple of hours aleone down here.
First I did a little bit more cleaning up on my counter. Next projevt was to finish the black/green pillows - well they alle all done by now.


After that I got back to another UFO - a green stripe quilt. Only a few blocks missing on that one now - I really look forward to start piecing it together.
Didn't bother to heat the iron, so after a few stripes it was stop on that one, well on to the next project - applique on my new bom.


One block almost done, the 3 others on their way - I just have to buy some more medium green silk thread to get further on.

Now it's time for a bike-ride with my youngest.

My sewing room

Just have to show a little picture of my threads today. Only thing I have been doing down here today is tidy-ing up and also got 3.5 kilos of fabric out - 1.7 as a finished quilt-top and backing was sendt to the long-armer today, other 1.8 is old scraps who is going to an elderly woman making charity quilts out of them. That just felles so good.

A lot of Progress

The last few days have been spendt mostly in bed or on the sofa. Some of the time Ihave done a little hand-sewing - so now all the four fishy placemats are finished (1.st one is in the quiltshop's window)





The "applegirls" got their hair (lambswool) and red cheeks today, and I finished the sleeve on the back





The familiy-album stitchery was finished last nigth - but I do not know what to use it for....


And the 15'th block for the angle-BOM just got is last stitches. Only one block more to do on that one. I have divided the quilt into foru samller wall-hangings - so I just have this last one to finish.Got the fabrics and patterns last august - so I am almost on schedule with this one.



Also got a bit further on a scarf I am knitting...

September is here

Apples are still growing, and have started to blush

My goals about the sewing-buisness have gotten a bit further forward, two of the fishy placemats are alle done, and the last ones are almost there too.




Last weekend I went on a trip across the Fjord - to Bjugn - together with 4 friends. Here I am on the top of the mountain Kopparen, and the next pictures shows the view from up there.
