Surprise

I found a thick envelope in the post-box yesterday - surprise surprise. Was not expecting anything - and see what I got from a very good friend:

I needed something to work on in front of Tv, and found this UFO in a box. I have now finished two of the flovers, and some stems - way more to go.





I have had a lot of trouble with my camera last few weeks, but now it works again, so I can upload pictures. Two of three quilt-tops finished, started quilting the black/white/red-one today
Have to make a backing for the blue one, and there is one more like the first one just waiting for borders.

I have also washed and ironed and even used some (2.7 meters) of my shopping in Hell

Progress and snow

Seems winter wanted to come back again - i have been out twice today showeling.

and we have got a new neighbor today:

quilt-progress this weekend resulted in one finished top, and the other one almost there - it is in 6 pieces now.

Three quilts on their way

Three quilts on their way, have to be finished before May
First one - only borders left - and I am out of fabric for that

Second one - almost all blocks made last sunday - two left. And DH helped me put the extention on to my quilt-frame - so now it is ready to quilt this big ones



Third one - almost all pieces cut - have to join two fabric-strips for the last ones

Friendship star

When we go to the big quilt gathering next weekend , t6he group of net-quilters here in norway decided we had to have a sign telling who we are. So the friendship-star.idea came up - and here is mine. And since I have been in the red and cream sewing modus for some weeks now - the colors of the star came out the same.




Today I have added the full with to my inspira quilting frame (had a lot of help from DH), i also vacumed my pc and sewing machine - same DH had a addonset to the vackumcleaner to get into tiny places.

Saturday morning in my sewingroom

I wake up early this morning too - so I have now spent 2 hours down here.
Result is the quilting of the table-runner



and I finished the top of this table-cloth.

When all the red things I have started thes last weeks are finished - I have used up 1 kg of red and cream fabrics.

two finishes in two days

Yesterday at the quilt guild meeting I binded this baby-quilt, and this charity-quilt below (had another lady finishing the binding for me, since i quilted two for her.)




And today in front of the news on TV I finished this one

Had a block over from the table-runner - and had to do something about it. had a lot of precut rectangles as well.

Shopping my stash

I was just thinking of buying some more brigth red's when I remembered my stash under my DD's bed. Well - I went upstairs - and look what I found - just what I needed for my next black/white quilt, and the reds I thougth I was out of.




I still have way to many dark reds - if somebody had a good idea about how to use them up - please tell me.

And the red/beige stripes are almost to an end - and I am kind of bored about them now.
